Long ago Pyrite filled in the fossil remains of an ammonite leaving this beautiful specimen to be captured in textured sterling with 18k gold prongs. I've forged the sterling to mimic the ridges of the ammonite negative, then oxidized it to bring out the beauty of the golden colors and textures.
